  1. The Rev. Hog quote reminds me of a phrase in Luther’s quote when he heard someone refer to themselves as Lutherans … “the poor stinking bag of maggots” …

    1. I would agree, Ron, the quote does reflect Luther’s Christian identity! Luther was used mightily of God to restore many De Fide doctrines to the Church. But when it came to Christian identity, “the poor bag of maggots” reflects more man’s identity in the old Adam and not in the new Adam. But “the poor bag of maggots” still lends for a good chuckle!!

  2. Point well made, if we seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, we don’t need to worry about our earthly welfare! Our Father has our backside as we advance the Kingdom forward.
